NASA Is Manufacturing Space Telescope Specialized for Hunting Asteroids

Image
An asteroid wiped out dinosaurs some 64 million years ago. And, there is no saying that something like this couldn’t happen to us. And, considering that, this new development at NASA makes more sense. Recent reports have alluded to the fact that NASA is considering a range of steps in view of their planetary defense project. And, part of the efforts to defend the planet from space objects is building a telescope that can hunt for threatening asteroids. If you are not well caught with recent news regarding asteroids, here is the synopsis. It was revealed in 2019 that humans could not accurately predict when a catastrophic asteroid collision might happen with earth. It means that if an asteroid is predicted to graze past Earth thirty years from now, there is no saying that it will happen thirty years from now. It could happen today, it could happen tomorrow, and it could happen within hours. Yes, it’s a complicated concept. But, space, as you know, is not a child’s play. Anyways, an infr...

“Space Cubs” Gives Positive Indication About Genetic Preservation in Outer Space

Image
There were lingering doubts. Some space experts had posed questions regarding risks about the fertility occurring in deep space. However, “space cabs,” who were born after the sperm of the mouse was stored on the International Space Station for six years, have massively aided in clearing up these doubts. There was a notion among many regimes and especially NASA that fertility is not such a good idea in outer space. People believed that sperm would behave differently in outer space. And, this is not to consider the fact of radiation on fertility. Therefore, everyone needed to know beforehand the effect that space would have on fertility because it is one of the most important facets in deep space travel, which humans are expected to achieve within this century. For humans to survive for longer periods in deep space, it was important for scientists to figure out whether fertility is impossible in outer space. So, thus, NASA experimented with mouse sperm. The sperm sample was safely trans...

NASA’s New Cost-Cutting Mission Will Save Millions Of Dollars On Space Expeditions

Image
Space missions are expensive, and sending the smallest aircraft to space can cost somewhere between $62 million to $450 million. Being the most potent US government agency for studying the cosmos, NASA spends billions of dollars every year for their expeditions into space. Technological advancement is on the verge of cost-cutting these huge space expeditions by a considerable amount. By sending small scale satellites instead of an actual 230-foot-tall Falcon 9, which costs more money, energy, resources, and people, NASA is planning to send small scale satellites instead of a real space rocket to study the secrets of the cosmos. NASA is planning to launch four new space projects with small-scale satellites with a fraction of its former space missions budget. The Pioneers space program, which is curbed at $20 million for each space mission, is the newest cost-cutting method in the NASA expedition lineup for 2021. NASA will squeeze their tiny budget to study outer space, including the gal...

NASA Will Conduct Green Run Hot Fire Tests for Artemis – I Mission

Image
NASA’s upcoming Artemis mission is making remarkable progress in its production stage. There are frequent updates available for the next human mission to the Moon. 2021 will showcase the first launch of the Artemis I mission. For the same, NASA is ready with its Space Launch System test that they will conduct this January. NASA will conduct a series of Green Run tests. For its Artemis mission, NASA has laid down an action plan strategy. In this edition, there is a discussion on Artemis’s mission, the fire test, and Artemis’s mission prospects. About the Test Fire According to NASA, these green run tests are the backbone of the entire SLS rocket system. NASA will initiate them in a few days and accomplish the eighth and final part of the series by 17th January 2021. Four of the tests will be conducted by RS-25 engines for a span of eight minutes. It will ensure the performance of the core stage. NASA will perform these tests at Mississippi’s Stennis Space Center. Some issues arose durin...
